Chris Kamara was a hard-as-nails defensive player whose career was more about taking part than winning. He played 641 League games on travels that took him to Portsmouth (twice), Swindon (twice), Brentford, Stoke, Leeds, Luton, Sheffield United (twice), Middlesbrough and Bradford City. While mainly a defensive player, he scored 28 goals in a more positive role with Brentford when playing 128 League games for the Bees.
He later managed at Bradford (guiding them to promotion in the 1995-96 season) and, briefly, Stoke, before switching to a career with Sky Sports as a pundit and presenter. Middlesbrough-born Chris is a huge favourite with the viewers because of the passion he pours into his performances in front of the camera, and he brings the same enthusiasm and sense of fun to his after-dinner speaking.
